When Sydney’s Queen Victoria Building needed remodeling and new glass shop fronts, they knew just who to call.

May 3, 2015Sydney’s iconic Queen Victoria Building is one of Sydney’s most recognizable and loved buildings. Recently they underwent a significant upgrade ad magic Glass was called upon to install new Glass shop fronts through out the building.
We supplied and installed very large glass panels using thick clear ‘hush laminate’ glass. Laminated glass must be used for this type of building to comply with Australian Building codes and provide shop owners with added security while still allowing for amazing window displays to attract customers.
By using specialized Aluminum framed glass for the shop fronts we were able to maintain the buildings historic heritage look and feel while using the very latest technology.
Here you can see we have also fitted smaller coloured panels to complete ‘the look’ and maintain the historic roots of the QVB which is over 150 years old. The installed frames are designed to blend with the rest of the building to maintain consistency.
